The Challenge

Founders operate across too many disconnected tools

Most solo founders and early-stage teams run their businesses across five or more separate tools. Planning happens in Notion. AI help comes from ChatGPT. Tasks live in Trello. Roadmaps go into Jira. HR and ops documents get buried in Google Drive.

Each context switch loses information. A business idea brainstormed in one tool never makes it cleanly into a task board. An AI-generated plan never connects to the project it's supposed to drive. The overhead of managing the tools starts to compete with doing the actual work.

The goal was a single platform where AI wasn't a bolt-on feature — it was woven into every workflow. Discovery, execution, documents, and team operations needed to share context and feel like one product, not four modules stitched together.

The Approach

Build AI into the architecture, not the interface

We started with the data model. For AI to feel coherent across modules, session context and project state needed to be first-class objects — not isolated per-feature datastores. Every module reads from and writes to the same shared context layer.

The frontend is built in SvelteKit for fast load performance and a clean reactive model. Firebase and Firestore handle real-time state sync across devices and users. AI generation runs through Gemini via Cloud Run, with context assembled server-side before calls are made — keeping prompts tight and responses relevant.

What We Built

Four modules. One shared context.

Each module is independently useful but designed to pass state to the others — so work that starts in discovery can flow directly into execution and documentation without re-entry.

Discovery

AI discovery engine with session memory

Founders typically lose context when moving between brainstorm tools and execution tools. The discovery module keeps a persistent session history so founders can refine ideas across multiple sessions, explore alternate business model angles, and promote a concept directly into a live project workspace — without re-entering context.

Execution

5-stage execution framework with kanban

Most founder tools either give you a blank kanban or a rigid methodology. Foundaro uses a defined five-stage lifecycle — Clarity, Proof, Construction, Stability, Expansion — that maps to how real projects progress. The kanban board reflects this structure with triage tools, saved views, and filtering built in so teams can act on priorities without setup overhead.

Automated document generation and inline editing

Go-to-market plans, HR policy docs, operational continuity plans — these take hours to draft from scratch and founders either skip them or use generic templates. Foundaro generates first-draft business documents through AI based on project context, then lets founders edit them directly in the platform. No exporting to Google Docs, no copy-paste loops.

Before Foundaro, founders bounced between Notion for planning, ChatGPT for AI help, Trello for tasks, and Jira for roadmapping. Every handoff meant lost context and re-entry. The unified dashboard brings projects, tasks, team operations, and growth modules into one workspace — with AI built into each module, not bolted on as a sidebar.

We launched Foundaro with all four core modules — Discovery, Execution, Documents, and the unified Dashboard — production-ready and accessible to early users. The AI layer runs live across all modules with shared session context working as designed.

Growth modules and team collaboration features are in active development, with the architecture already accommodating multi-user workspaces and role-based access.
